- School had started. Hannah had decided to attend the same college where Joe was attending. They had found a two-bedroom apartment within walking distance of campus and, much to their father's chagrin, they had decided to rent it. Julie, their mother, had agreed that it would be much more convenient for the siblings if they didn't have such a long drive every day.
- The siblings, of course, were overjoyed. They slept together every night and had sex several times a week. Hannah was lucky enough to get all of her classes on Mondays through Thursdays, with an occasional class on Fridays, so she planned on going home on most Thursday afternoons. Joe had Friday classes and sometimes didn't go home for the weekend.
- Their father, Don, was very pleased when he learned that Hannah would be home on most Thursday evenings. That was the night of Julie's Ladies Bible Class at church, so that gave him around 3 hours alone with Hannah. Since they had sex, though, Don had vacillated between guilt pangs and longing for his daughter. He really wanted to be alone with her, and perhaps they could enjoy something physical, but he didn't think it was a good idea to have sex with her again. Not intercourse. Probably not that.
